Description
Model 50P-2111 is a 50 Ohm solid-state programmable attenuator with attenuation range 0 to 95dB by 1dB steps. The unit operates bi-directionally over the frequency range 200MHz to 8.4GHz. The unit is labeled “input” and “output” because the RF power rating is different for each port. The input port is rated for +24 dBm. The output port is rated for +15 dBm. It is available with SMA female RF connectors.
Test software is provided with the USB attenuator. The test software can control multiple JFW USB attenuators to allow for handover signal fade testing. If you would like to integrate the USB attenuator into your script testing, we do offer a JFW Python library upon request.

If you would prefer to control the USB attenuators using Python instead of our standard Windows based test program, JFW does offer a Python library (jfwusb.py). Email our engineering department for the Python library and examples.

- Auto-discovery of any JFW USB devices connected to the computer.
- Set persistent device names for each attenuator.
- Set/read attenuator by its device number.
- Set/read attenuator by its serial number.
- Set/read attenuator by its user defined name.
- Set all attenuators to the same dB value, min dB value, or max dB value.
