HF band transceiver test system models for testing military radios in full mesh closed environment
JFW has added several new transceiver test system models that cover the HF band. These models are configured as full mesh with a step attenuator on each path through the mesh. These models can be used to connect several HF band radios together in a closed environment. This type of testing environment could be used to test different radio models together for interoperability. The step attenuators allow you to adjust up/down the signal strength between each of the radios. The test systems are remotely controlled via an Ethernet connection.
HF Band Models
- model 50PMA-179 | 4 ports | 2-30MHz
- model 50PMA-180 | 6 ports | 2-30MHz
- model 50PMA-181 | 8 ports | 2-30MHz
- model 50PMA-161 | 4 ports | 1-1000MHz
- model 50PMA-164| 6 ports | 1-1000MHz
Size & Cost Considerations
The number of paths through a full mesh configuration is the greatest factor in cost. This is due to the fact that each path has its own individually controlled step attenuator. Additional step attenuators lead to additional costs. Here is a breakdown on how many paths there are for each full mesh configuration.
