How to cable to a directional coupler?
A directional coupler can be used to monitor a signal on a RF path. The through path is bi-directional, but it only couples the RF signal in one direction. The coupled path is also bi-directional. A signal into the coupled port will be injected onto the RF path. Coupler models with high coupling values (i.e. 30dB coupling) have less through path insertion loss than couplers with low coupling values (i.e. 10dB coupling).
