8 x 8 Blocking Matrix Switch Covering DC-18GHz
JFW model 50MS-404 is an 8 x 8 blocking matrix switch operating DC-18 GHz. It is constructed using electro-mechanical switches on the input half and output half of the matrix. This type of construction results in low insertion loss and high port-to-port isolation. All unused input ports and unused output ports are absorptive (i.e. self-terminating into 50 Ohm terminations). The matrix can be set manually using the keypad or remotely via an Ethernet or Serial connection.

Here are some brief examples of our remote commands for controlling the matrix. We provide a firmware manual with all test systems that show command syntax and examples. <CR> denotes a carriage return. <LF> denotes a line feed.
Syntax for Setting Paths:
SI x1 y1, x2 y2, …, x8 y8<CR> Set input port command
SO x1 y1, x2 y2, …, x8 y8<CR> Set output port command
Syntax for Reading Path Settings:
RI x1, x2, …, x8<CR> Read input port setting.
RO x1, x2, …, x8<CR> Read output port setting.

SI 2 1<CR> Set input port 2 to output port 1
RI 2<CR> Read input 2
